In a thrilling development for basketball enthusiasts, the 2023 Chinese 3x3 Basketball League (Pingtan Division) is set to tip-off this Saturday, September 16 in Pingtan, a rising international tourism island in China. The event will run until September 20.

The Chinese 3x3 Basketball League is the top domestic 3x3 basketball tournament in China. It is also the fourth professional basketball league in the country, following the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA), and National Basketball League (NBL).

The competition encompasses three categories: the Chinese Men's 3x3 Basketball Super League, the Chinese Men's 3x3 Basketball Super League Satellite Tournament, and the Chinese Women's 3x3 Basketball League. According to the tournament's spokesperson, Shi Wen, Pingtan will witness an intense showdown with 64 games played throughout the event.

3x3 basketball, a fast-paced and dynamic half-court version of the traditional 5x5 game, originated from street basketball and has gained global recognition. The sport was officially included in the Olympic program in 2017 and has since become a mainstream discipline, comparable to its 5x5 counterpart. Known for its high level of agility, rapid gameplay, and intense competitiveness, 3x3 basketball places significant demands on athletes' physical fitness.
