Ocean Cup China (Pingtan) International Cycling Carnival to resume
en.ptnet.cn | Updated:2023-09-14 | Lin Kongbo, StephanieThe 8th Ocean Cup China (Pingtan) International Cycling Carnival and Fujian Province Cycling League (Pingtan Station) will be relaunched from September 23 to 24 in Pingtan, a rising international tourism island in China.
Scheduled previously for early September, the carnival was pushed back due to the typhoon. The event will include an open cycling race and league matches. While the competition date has been adjusted, event programs and regulations remain unchanged.The race will cover a single-lap distance of approximately 18 kilometers and include categories such as Men's Road Elite, Challenge, Youth, Middle-aged, Men's Mountain Bike Youth, Men's Mountain Bike Middle-aged, Women's Road, and Island Cycling. Notably, this year marks the first time the Women's Road category has been introduced.
In addition, the Island Cycling activity has been rescheduled to take place on September 23, while the professional race, the 2023 Ocean Cup China (Pingtan) International Road Cycling Race, has been canceled.
