World Association for Political Economy's 16th Forum to be held in Pingtan

On September 20, it was announced by Fujian Normal University that the 16th Forum of the World Association for Political Economy will be held from September 25 to 27 in Pingtan, an island off E China’s Fujian province.

The theme of this forum is "Chinese-style Modernization and the Global Modernization Process." It plans to invite nearly 200 scholars from over 20 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia, Austria, Italy, Brazil, Japan, and Turkey. During the forum, experts and scholars will deliver a series of academic presentations. The forum will also present the "World Marxist Economics Award" and the "21st Century Outstanding Achievements in World Political Economy Award" for the year 2023.

The association is a non-profit international academic organization formed voluntarily by global Marxist economists and related groups. Since 2006, it has held 15 forums in Shanghai, China, Shimane, Japan, Paris, France, and other locations, gaining high recognition and influence worldwide. The current forum is jointly organized by the World Association for Political Economy, Fujian Normal University, Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone Administrative Committee, and the National Research Center for Political Economy of Chinese Socialism (Fujian Normal University).
