Pingtan, a picturesque island located off the coast of China, is set to witness an exhilarating spectacle where nature, speed, and skill collide. The upcoming 2023 Pingtan International Racing Carnival - Strait Drift Invitational promises to be an electrifying event as elite racers from both sides of the Taiwan Straits gather in Pingtan's enchanting landscape.

From November 9th to 12th, the Northern Ecological Corridor of Pingtan, aptly dubbed the“Coastal Gallery" for its immaculate coastline, will set the stage for the competition. This segment of the event will serve as the inaugural challenge for the 20 handpicked elite drift racers. Nestled alongside the F1 viewing platform in the vicinity of the Northern Ecological Corridor, an open exhibition race - SUPER ONE will decide the ultimate champion, showcasing the drivers' exceptional skills and mastery of their craft.

Unlike the traditional drift races, the SUPER ONE exhibition race will take place on a challenging mountainous road, adding an extra layer of difficulty to the drivers' performances. The scenic coastal cliffs, intertwined with winding bends, will provide a breathtaking backdrop as the skilled racers navigate their way through the course, immersing themselves in the fusion of speed, adrenaline, and the natural beauty surrounding them.

Through the SUPER ONE segment, the Straits Drift Invitational aims to offer global audiences a unique and captivating experience, delving deep into the charms of Pingtan's Northern Ecological Corridor. Also known as Pingtan Road, the corridor spans approximately 21.62 kilometers. It meanders like a graceful dragon, hugging the coastline, and seamlessly blending dynamic and tranquil elements.

The Northern Ecological Corridor is not only a haven of natural and ecological wonders but also boasts a scenic circular island road reminiscent of a stunning watercolor painting. With its captivating sea-eroded landscapes, coastal fishing villages, and historical relics, the corridor offers a treasure trove of tourist attractions.

As the elite racers gather in this unique setting, the drift race becomes the platform for them to listen to the passionate symphony of crashing waves, and the harmonious rotation of windmills, and to appreciate the magical sea-eroded formations. They will revel in the refreshing sea breeze, bask in the enchanting glow of the setting sun, and witness the harmonious fusion of mountains, sea, and ancient stone dwellings, immersing themselves in the rich heritage of Pingtan Island.

Since its inception, the Northern Ecological Corridor has earned numerous accolades, including being recognized as the "2022 National Innovation Project for Integrated Transportation and Tourism," the "Second National Beautiful Countryside Road," and the "Most Popular Road in My Neighborhood - Best Road of 2020" by the Ministry of Transport. It is also hailed as one of the first batch of "Fujian's Most Beautiful Countryside Roads."

Following the drift battle of the SUPER ONE, the Straits Drift Invitational will shift its focus to the climax of the event, as it moves to the Pingtan Ruyi Lake International Circuit. Spectators can expect a breathtaking showcase of skill and precision as the racers compete in the main race. With heart-pounding drift performances, this phase of the carnival promises to be a captivating spectacle that will leave spectators on the edge of their seats.
