Pingtan Haichuang Culture Tourism Industry Development Co., Ltd. has announced that the largest standalone digital technology studio in Asia, a film-grade VP/XR virtual production studio, will be established in Pingtan, China’s second international tourism island next to Hainan. This will also be the first film-grade virtual production studio in Fujian Province. 

The studio, covering a total area of approximately 5,000 square meters, will utilize over 900 square meters of LED displays with a combination of "facade, sky curtain, and mobile" screens, as well as a complete set of XR virtual shooting solutions. It will provide a virtual shooting venue that meets the standards of Hollywood's VP/XR virtual production, catering to various shooting needs such as film/television/advertisement virtual production (VP), XR virtual stages, and XR virtual studios.

"The motion capture system and intelligent displays of this studio are at the forefront globally. Currently, the studio is in the preparatory stage, and construction is expected to commence in early spring next year," said a representative from Pingtan Haichuang Culture Tourism Industry Development Co., Ltd. The team is looking forward to the studio's completion, as it will bring more stunning visual effects and create outstanding works.
