Fujian Province (Pingtan) Integrated Service Center for Professional Qualifications for Taiwan Compatriots has recently been approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to become a national vocational skill level evaluation institution. It is now authorized to provide professional skill level assessments for 33 occupations, including Chinese and Western cuisine chefs, engineering surveyors, and automobile mechanics, specifically catering to Taiwan compatriots. The center is currently the only evaluation institution in the country dedicated to Taiwan compatriots and has the widest coverage.

Following the approval, the center will be able to conduct skill level evaluationsper standards and regulations and issue nationally recognized vocational skill level certificates. Furthermore, it will also be able to exchange the corresponding vocational qualification certificates from Taiwan with the aforementioned 33 vocational skill level certificates on the mainland. Taiwan compatriots with the certificates will enjoy equal treatment as their mainland counterparts.

An official from Pingtan stated that Pingtan will continue to deepen the exploration of the integrated service model for Taiwan compatriots' professional qualifications, encourage more Taiwan compatriots to seek employment and start businesses on the mainland, and jointly advance cross-Straits exchanges.
