A taste of Pingtan came to Harbin as local flavors debuted in a lively morning market as the chill settled over the ice city on January 22. A distinctive pop-up stall had opened its shutters, promoting the island’s specialties. Huang Jiexiao, deputy director of Pingtan Tourism and Sports Bureau, was on the grill, setting the pace to a busy breakfast queue forming at the stall despite the chilly weather. Many locals who visited the stall expressed delight and keen interest in Pingtan’s culinary delights and natural beauty.

Capitalizing on the vibrant tourism market in Harbin, Pingtan's tourism officials went to Harbin to spread Pingtan's hospitality to the locals. In addition to the culinary delights, Huang Jiexiao and her team promoted Pingtan's attractions, including the famous "Blue Tears" and seafood, providing deeper insights into Pingtan for the residents.

At the street corner, an LED promotion vehicle played Pingtan promotional videos continuously. Staff and volunteers engaged in interactive quizzes, offering Pingtan’s freebies such as abalone gift boxes and Blue Tears-themed backpacks, inviting locals to embark on a romantic journey to Pingtan.

Featuring fun-filled sessions such as “Tourism Director at the Stall,” “Blue Tears Giveaways,” and the interactive reception of the crowd, the live stream aims to amplify the island's regional awareness on social media and bring in a wave of tourists for the upcoming Spring Festival holiday.
