en.ptnet.cn | Updated:2024-04-24 | Lin Kongbo, StephaniePingtan, a rising international tourism island off China’s Fujian Province, made waves with the signing of two major projects that are set to redefine the island's cultural and tourism landscape at the recent Fujian Cultural and Tourism Economic Development Conference in Quanzhou of the province.
The first gem, the Ganyun Fengtian Cultural and Tourism Complex, is a 500 million yuan investment that will transform the island' s scenic northern ecological corridor. This project will encompass four distinct thematic areas: offshore, coastal, village, and aerial tourism, promising an immersive experience for nature lovers.
The second highlight is the Junshan Strait Homestay Cluster, with a planned investment of approximately 100 million yuan. Nestled on a 48-mu plot of land, this homestay cluster will be developed in four phases, offering a taste of luxury with approximately 60 luxurious guest rooms, a museum, and a range of amenities including a restaurant, café, creative space, bookstore, meeting rooms, campsite, and parking facilities.
Additionally, the Zhuyu Lake Grand Hotel Project, a 500 million yuan venture, was also featured. This project will be developed through a collaborative investment, construction, and operation model, potentially in partnership with a state-owned enterprise.
Pingtan is on a mission to become a world-renowned tourist destination. The island is striving to create a romantic island, a hub for music and art, a dynamic venue for sports events, and a comfortable travel experience for all.
"Pingtan is not just a destination, but a journey into a world where culture and nature intertwine to create unforgettable experiences," said a spokesperson for the development projects.
