The Tourism and Culture Sports Bureau of Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone announced the much-anticipated 2024 Kylin Cup Cross-Straits (Pingtan) Youth Baseball Championship is set to take place from July 12 to 16 at the Pingtan Baseball Park.

This marquee event will bring together 20 formidable youth baseball teams with 10 hailing from Taiwan, boasting a lineup of approximately 550 young talented athletes. The competition promises to showcase exceptional baseball prowess, unyielding determination, and outstanding teamwork. "We're excited to see these young athletes shine on such a prominent stage," said a spokesperson for the bureau. "Their skills and sportsmanship will surely impress the audience."

Beyond the thrill of competition, the championship aims to foster connections among young people from both sides of the Taiwan Straits. By using baseball as a bridge, the event is set to enhance cultural integration and strengthen emotional ties. "This isn't just about baseball," the spokesperson added.
