"This nomination underscores Pingtan's commitment to creating immersive and eco-friendly experiences that captivate visitors from around the world."
The project, nestled on the picturesque Tannan Bay beach, is a veritable ode to Pingtan's rich cultural heritage and marine ecosystem. Drawing inspiration from the local Austronesian culture, ocean conservation, and the magical phenomenon known as "blue tears," Planetary Story: Blue Tears weaves a tale of adventure through the eyes of the protagonist A Di and his trusty pirate dog Yu Wan.

Utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as AIGC and immersive 3D Mapping, the project transforms the 500-mu site into a magical realm where visitors can interact with floating whale art installations and embark on a sensory journey of sound and light.
"The blend of traditional storytelling and modern technology in Planetary Story: Blue Tears is truly remarkable," commented a member of the ITIA judging panel. "It's a testament to Pingtan's ability to preserve its cultural roots while embracing innovation and sustainability."
