Racing thrills arrive in Pingtan as 12 Hong Kong race cars enter the scene

Pingtan Island, a picturesque destination renowned for its natural beauty, welcomed a new chapter in automotive excitement on August 5 as 12 racing cars from Hong Kong crossed the Pingtan Strait Bridge, marking their arrival for the upcoming 2024 Hong Kong MINI Series.
The sleek vehicles, along with their specialized components, were safely transported to Pingtan. Starting from August 9, these racing machines will roar at the Ruyi Lake International City Circuit, thrilling spectators with their high-octane performances.
"The Hong Kong MINI Series, a first-time venture into Fujian Province, showcases the best of Hong Kong's racing talent and their meticulously tuned vehicles," stated Huang Wei, general manager of Pingtan Automobile Culture Development Company. "These classic MINI racers, regularly competing in Southeast Asia, will compete in three intense stages spanning nearly three months, providing a visual spectacle unlike any other."
Unveiling the vehicles ready for competition
To ensure the seamless execution of this global gathering, Pingtan Customs finalized all the requisite processes within an impressive span of just 10 minutes. "Moving forward, we are committed to capitalizing on Pingtan's distinctive policy benefits to enhance the island's growth into a flourishing hub for tourism and racing activities," stated Zheng Zhiwei, deputy head of the Comprehensive Business Section at Pingtan Customs.
