The picturesque island of Pingtan welcomed the production crew of the upcoming theatrical film Super Cute Little Matchmaker for location shooting, immersing the film's visuals in the region's enchanting natural beauty and romantic ambiance.
On August 23, the golden sands of Pingtan's Jinkun Resort played host to an enchanting scene, as actors dressed in resplendent wedding attire and gowns enacted a heartwarming coastal romance, elevating the film's sweet narrative to new heights. Directed by renowned Fujian-born filmmaker Jiang Xiaoyu, the film stars a talented ensemble including Bai Yixiang, Li Chunbo, and Huang An, under the producing prowess of Annie and Zhang Dandan.
The heartwarming tale revolves around a group of innocent children who embark on a mission to help their families find true love, intertwining their own journey of growth and joy along the way. The film not only showcases the innocence of childhood but also explores the complexities of adult relationships, balancing heartwarming moments with poignant reflections on love and family bonds.
During their stay in Pingtan, the crew traversed various locales, capturing the island's breathtaking scenery at Tannan Bay, Longwangtou Ocean Park, the No. 22 International Yacht Marina, and Longtou Village. These sites served as a canvas for the film, infusing it with Pingtan's distinctive natural wonders and rich cultural heritage.
"Pingtan holds immense potential as an international-standard filming destination," enthused Jiang Xiaoyu. "Its abundant visual elements, particularly its pristine landscapes and vibrant oceanic culture, have captivated us deeply." He further revealed that he is already working on a new project titled People of the Sea, aiming to delve deeper into Pingtan's maritime tales and showcase the intimate bond between its people and the ocean, further unlocking the island's potential as a cinematic gem.
