The 2024 Pingtan International Racing Carnival is about to kick off with three major events: the China (Pingtan) Endurance Championship 2024, the Hong Kong MINI Series, and the Straits GT Invitational - 2024 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing China GR86 Cup. These races are scheduled at the Ruyi Lake International Circuit of Pingtan from August 30 to September 1, and the circuit is already abuzz with pre-race excitement.

Mechanics tuning the race car

Yesterday, reporters observed the circuit transforming into a hive of activity as teams and drivers prepared for the upcoming competitions. Racing vehicles have begun arriving, and in every corner of the track, the dedicated and bustling presence of team members was evident. Drivers are in the midst of final practice sessions, while mechanics conduct detailed inspections and adjustments to the race cars. Engineers are leveraging advanced technology for data analysis, continuously refining vehicle performance to ensure optimal stability and handling at high speeds.

Wang Haosen, a driver from DTM Motorsport, commented on the distinctive nature of street racing compared to traditional circuits, "Street circuits are different from regular tracks. This is my first race in Pingtan. We've been practicing repeatedly to fine-tune our car to its best condition, aiming to stand out in the qualifying sessions and secure a favorable starting position for the main race."

The Pingtan International Racing Carnival promises to be more than just a professional racing event; it's a vibrant celebration of racing culture that draws elite racers from across the country. With the stunning coastline of Pingtan as backdrop, fans and spectators can expect an exhilarating experience that brings them closer to the action and the spirit of high-octane competition.

Huang Wei, general manager of Pingtan Automobile Culture Development Co., Ltd., expressed his aspirations for the event, "This is the first time the China Endurance Championship is being held in Pingtan. We hope the success of this event will help establish Pingtan's own independent racing event. Endurance races are more accessible to the general public, and we hope to attract more top drivers from both China and abroad to compete in Pingtan in the future."

As the engines rev and the anticipation builds, Pingtan is poised to deliver an exhilarating showcase of speed, skill, and automotive culture. Stay tuned for the roaring start of these races that are sure to add a new chapter to the annals of motorsport history in China.
