Pingtan's immigration authority efficiently processed the outbound border inspection for the Tanzanian-registered vessel Sophia (formerly known as the Chinese vessel Hua Tai Shan) on August 31. The ship is now set to sail to Nakhodka Port in Russia to transport coal, signifying the successful maiden release of a Russian-bound shipping vessel from Pingtan Port.

Previously docked on August 27, the Chinese vessel Hua Tai Shan underwent a nationality change procedure at Pingtan Port. The process was completed in just one day, and the vessel was renamed Sophia.

To ensure a smooth first-time departure, the immigration authority provided tailored and meticulous inspection measures for the ship's transition. They expedited the boarding procedures for 17 crew members, achieving a "one-stop" completion of hull inspections and crew checks. This year, Pingtan Port has completed five domestic and foreign trade transition applications.
