Pingtan has secured a yacht project valued at 300 million yuan. The agreement was formalized on the inaugural day of the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), taking place in Xiamen, Fujian province, east China. The collaboration between Pingtan and Fujian Jiaxin Yacht Co., Ltd. marks a significant step forward in the yacht industry's development.

The ambitious project, with an envisioned investment of 3 million yuan, is poised to cover the entire spectrum of yacht-related activities. This includes design and research, manufacturing, educational initiatives, sales and maintenance services, a second-hand market, marina management, and the organization of yacht and sailboat events and exhibitions. A standout feature of the project is the proposed establishment of a free travel corridor for yachts and sailboats across the Taiwan Straits, a move designed to enhance Pingtan's reputation as a hub for international yachting events.

Upon its completion, the project is anticipated to invigorate the entire yacht industry chain, providing a fresh impetus for Pingtan's vision to become an International Tourism Island. Gong Yunguang, chairman of Fujian Jiaxin Yacht Co., Ltd., highlighted Pingtan's natural beauty, pristine water quality, expansive sea areas, and superior port facilities as ideal conditions for yacht industry development. He expressed his confidence in establishing a comprehensive yacht industry chain in Pingtan, with plans to expand from a yacht factory to encompass yacht tourism, manufacturing, and yacht sports.

The company's objective is to operate 500 yachts within three years, which is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities for locals. This initiative is set to catalyze new advancements in maritime tourism in Pingtan, further solidifying its position as a premier destination for yachting enthusiasts.
