Pingtan, a coastal gem celebrated for its natural beauty and geographical proximity to the island of Taiwan, has achieved another milestone by being included in the prestigious list of China's Top 100 Investment Potential Counties for 2024. The China Small and Medium-sized City Development Index Research Group and the Guoxin Small and Medium-sized City Index Research Institute announced the accolade, underscoring Pingtan's vibrant economy and favorable investment climate.

Pingtan has emerged as a rising star in China's tourism sector, actively promoting itself as the "Island of Starry Seas and Romance," "Island of Music, Arts and Joy," "Island of Brand Events and Energy," and "Island of Delightful Travel Experiences." These themes have significantly enhanced Pingtan's international reputation and allure, attracting tourists worldwide.

Beyond tourism, Pingtan has also distinguished itself in fostering closer ties with Taiwan. Embracing the theme of "Facilitated Exchanges and Deep Integration," Pingtan has established itself as a pioneering hub for cross-Straits cooperation. The island boasts direct shipping links with major ports across Taiwan's north, central, and southern regions, facilitating seamless trade and travel. Furthermore, Pingtan has taken the lead in recognizing professional qualifications from Taiwan, further streamlining standards and facilitating integration.

To amplify its investment potential, Pingtan has streamlined its investment promotion machinery. In 2021, the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone Investment Promotion Committee was established, tasked with overseeing and implementing investment projects, while the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone Investment Promotion Group Corporation was founded in 2023 to bolster corporate outreach. More recently, on May 30, 2024, the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone Investment Promotion Bureau was officially unveiled, completing the "One Committee, One Bureau, One Group" framework designed to enhance the efficiency and professionalism of Pingtan's investment promotion efforts.
