As the National Day golden week draws near, Pingtan's Taiwan Merchandise Market has emerged with a refreshed facade, welcoming visitors from all corners with an upgraded "Taiwan Compatriots Zone" and the introduction of over ten Taiwan-themed shops.

The market, also known as "Taiwan Town," has undergone a significant transformation to present its best self to tourists during the upcoming holiday season. Upon visiting the newly established zone, visitors can find shelves lined with goods shipped directly from Taiwan, ranging from groceries and daily necessities to exquisite handicrafts.

"After a decade of development, Pingtan's Taiwan Merchandise Market has become one of the primary channels for Taiwan goods to enter the mainland market," remarked Wang Long, an official from Pingtan's Economic Development Bureau. "It plays a pivotal role in fostering exchanges and interactions between small and medium-sized enterprises, grassroots industry associations, as well as Taiwan businesspeople and compatriots across the Taiwan Straits."

To enhance visitors' experiences, the region's tourist attractions have collaborated to create a comprehensive tourism route. "During the National Day holiday, visitors can take shuttle buses to access the scenic areas, making it more convenient for them to explore," shared Lin Peng, a staff member at Pingtan Tourism Operation and Management Company.
