Pingtan, a charming island off the coast of China, has emerged as a must-visit destination for travelers worldwide thanks to the recent state broadcaster CCTV-8's Star's Choice program, "Journey of Light – Happiness Juncao." The show, aired from September 30 to October 6, showcased the island's breathtaking landscapes and unique charm, igniting a surge in tourist arrivals.

Featuring interviews with the director and cast of the TV series "Happiness Juncao" including director Bai Tao and actors Lin Yiting, Meng A'sai, and Mu Lan, the program took viewers on a virtual tour of the filming locations in Fuzhou and Pingtan. During one segment, the show ventured to Pingtan's Beigang Village, where Lin Yiting and Meng A'sai experienced the unique "singing stones" and explored the traditional stone houses, sharing anecdotes from their filming days.

"Pingtan is absolutely stunning. It's just like what I saw on TV," praised Zhou Meng, a tourist from Henan, echoing the sentiments of many visitors. "The scenery is breathtaking, and the experience is unforgettable."

One such enthusiast is Chen Yao, a photography enthusiast working in a Beijing-based media company. Inspired by the program, she embarked on an impulsive journey to Pingtan, with her first stop being Changjiang'ao. "The windmills at Changjiang'ao were awe-inspiring. Under the blue sky and white clouds, they rotate gracefully against the endless sea, creating a mesmerizing scenery," she exclaimed.

Similarly, the Northern Ecological Corridor enchanted Shanghai-based travel blogger Li Yang, who set off on a road trip to Pingtan. "The mountains and seas along the corridor were breathtaking. Pingtan is truly a paradise for eco-tourism," he remarked.

Designer Wang Yue from Guangzhou, who has a soft spot for the sea, chose Tannan Bay as her destination to reward herself for her hard work. "The beach dubbed 'platinum coast' is mesmerizing. I can bask in the sunshine, enjoy the sandy beaches, and listen to the waves. It's a pure bliss," she said.

Thanks to the Star's Choice program, Pingtan's Changjiang'ao, Northern Ecological Corridor, and Tannan Bay have become popular attractions, drawing visitors from far and wide. They are experiencing the island's unique charm and creating cherished memories.
