On the evening of October 19th, the shores of Pingtan echoed with harmony and fervor as the 2024 Pingtan Island Choral Festival, centered around the theme "Another Ocean," unfolded at the Pingtan International Performing Arts Center. The event showcased a captivating and unparalleled audio-visual experience, featuring a diverse array of esteemed and influential a cappella vocal ensembles hailing from both sides of the Taiwan Straits, along with a lineup of special guests, captivating the audience with their mesmerizing performances. A cappella is a type of music that creates melodies solely with human voices, without any instrumental accompaniment.

"We sought to craft an immersive experience where music connects with the audience, converting them from the sensory audience into active participants," shared Wang Kaitai, head of the Pinocchio Vocal Ensemble. "Stepping onto Pingtan's shores for the first time, I was captivated by its stunning scenery. I was intrigued by the legendary blue tears phenomenon that occurs during summer nights, leaving me yearning for a return."
