A delegation from the Sabah State Assembly of Malaysia recently embarked on a captivating journey to Pingtan, Fujian Province, to explore the island's vibrant specialty industries, immerse themselves in its rich cultural heritage, and marvel at its pristine natural beauty.

Led by distinguished visitors, including Deputy Speaker Richard Yong We Kong and Deputy Speaker Haji Al Hambra Tun Juhar, the delegation embarked on a series of insightful visits, each revealing a unique facet of Pingtan's allure. Their itinerary encompassed the International Research Center for Austronesian Archaeology, the Northern Ecological Corridor, the charming 68 Town, and the bustling Pingtan Cross-border E-commerce Park.

"My first visit to Pingtan has been nothing short of enchanting," remarked Deputy Speaker Yong, who was particularly moved by the island's cultural charm. Pingtan's impeccable infrastructure and breathtaking ecology are remarkable, and I am eager to share these insights back in Sabah to aid our development."

Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker Al Hambra expressed keen interest in Pingtan's logistics industry. "The success stories and expertise demonstrated in Pingtan's port operations are truly inspiring," he said.
