The 15th Cross-Straits (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair (CSCIF), the premier platform for cultural and creative industries from both sides of the Taiwan Straits, commenced on Oct. 31 and will run through November 3. This year, Pingtan, known as the only comprehensive pilot zone on the mainland for cross-Straits integration, takes the spotlight with a pavilion highlighting the island's cultural tourism development, focusing on the charm of beach camping.

On October 30, as a prelude to the CSCIF, Fujian Province's Cultural Tourism Industry Chain Investment Promotion Conference was held, where 20 key investment projects were showcased with a total investment value of 87.243 billion yuan. These projects span across five major sectors: marine tourism, ecological health, cultural heritage protection and utilization, cross-boundary integration of cultural tourism industries, and the revitalization of rural areas through cultural tourism. Among the highlighted projects were Pingtan Taiwan-themed Town and a five-star hotel at Pingtan's Zhuyu Lake.

The conference also witnessed the signing ceremony for 24 key cultural tourism projects with a combined investment of 4.62 billion yuan, including a hotel project in Pingtan. Wang Peilin, deputy director of the Industry Division of the Pingtan Tourism, Culture, and Sports Bureau, expressed optimism, stating, "We hope that through this platform, more enterprises will recognize the high-quality cultural tourism projects in Pingtan and attract more enterprises to invest and prosper in Pingtan."

The CSCIF is the only national exhibition dedicated to the cultural industry named "Cross-Straits" and co-hosted by both sides of the Taiwan Straits.
