On November 26, the Fujian Provincial Tourism Resources Planning and Development Quality Rating Committee issued an announcement, officially recognizing the 68-Nautical -Mile scenic area in Pingtan as a national 4A-level tourist attraction.

The 68-Nautical-Mile scenic area stands as the closest point on the Chinese mainland to Taiwan Island. It comprises three islets: Houyan Islet, Yanhou Islet, and Xianshan Islet, renowned for their jagged rocks and towering boulders that form unique landscapes.

As a national 4A-Level tourist attraction, the area boasts not only stunning natural scenery but also a profound cultural heritage. Cultural attractions such as the "Concentric Window," "Homeward Stone," and "Straits' Eye" embody the roots and inheritance of traditional Chinese culture.

The scenic area offers a diverse range of tourism products. Geometric Camp integrates Pingtan's distinctive stone houses with the Moroccan coastal style, creating a unique atmosphere. The Black Rocks Music Hall, shaped like a piano, is a digital-themed brand hall that blends music culture from both sides of the Taiwan Straits with café offerings. Visitors can also enjoy refreshing fruit drinks, delicious local snacks, exquisite desserts, and exclusive Pingtan-themed cultural and creative products.

"Being awarded as a national 4A-level tourist attraction is a significant milestone for the scenic area," said Wu Xiaoying, deputy general manager of Pingtan Tourism Operation and Management Co., Ltd. "In the future, the scenic area will continue to strengthen its hardware facilities, improve service quality and management, and provide tourists with an even better tourism experience."

The scenic area is dotted with many photo spots that incorporate Taiwanese elements, conveying a strong sense of nostalgia. Within Xianshan Islet, there is a music hall where visitors can appreciate vinyl art and immerse themselves in the musical atmosphere of both sides of the Taiwan Straits. There is also a leisure camp that combines nature with art based on Moroccan artistry, perfect for photo-taking.
