Pingtan Haichuang Culture and Tourism Development Co., Ltd. announced on December 19 that the Ocean Sky Aerospace Experience Hall will soon be established at the Zhuyu Bay Film and Television Base in Pingtan, the closest place on the mainland to the island of Taiwan. This innovative project includes a pivotal component—a Boeing 747 aircraft, already stationed at the base and currently undergoing assembly.
Gao Hongmin, an investment specialist at the Zhuyuwan Operation and Management Center of Pingtan Haichuang, elaborated on the Boeing 747, known affectionately as the "Queen of the Skies." With a length exceeding 70 meters and a height of 19.3 meters, this aircraft is expected to take four to five months to fully assemble. Once complete, it will serve as the centerpiece of educational programs designed to spark interest in aerospace technology among young people, offering them the opportunity to explore the aircraft's interior and components.
The Ocean Sky Aerospace Experience Hall, themed around the "Dream of Aerospace," will feature two parks—the Boeing 747-300 Aircraft Plaza and the Long March 2 Rocket Park—providing interactive experiences with aircraft and rockets. Additionally, five themed experience zones will immerse visitors in science education and technology practice: Aerospace Experience Pavilion, Deep Space Exploration Center, Mars Base/Space Agriculture Hall, Neutral Buoyancy Tank, and Live-Fire Range.
Chen Haifeng, the manager of the Zhuyuwan Operation and Management Center, emphasized that visitors will embark on an aerospace exploration journey, wandering through a lunar base, uncovering the secrets of space agriculture, encountering the wonders of Mars, and braving the mysteries of Jupiter. "The Ocean Sky Aerospace Experience Hall represents a perfect fusion of culture, tourism, and technology," he said. "It will become a new landmark for aerospace technology in Pingtan and provide a new platform for science and technology exchanges between young people from both sides of the Taiwan Straits."
