The "Jianyang Chenghe" ship carrying three gantry cranes docks at Jinjing Port of Pingtan.

On December 31, 2024, the "Jianyang Chenghe" vessel, carrying three gantry cranes, set sail from the Jinjing Port in Pingtan, marking a significant step in China's manufacturing exports. The cranes, valued at approximately 50 million yuan, are destined for Indonesia to be used in the Port of Obi Island construction project, undertaken by Ningbo Lihua Port Machinery Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.

The urgent demand from the enterprise was met with proactive support from multiple local authorities, all working in unison to facilitate the swift departure of "Made in China" heavy port machinery to international shores.

"Pingtan offers significant berthing efficiency, customs clearance, and geographical advantages,"said Yang Huanlin, deputy general manager of Jiangsu Fanzhou Shipping Co., Ltd., the logistics company contracted for the transportation. "Departing from Pingtan Port can save our clients time and costs, creating greater value."

The gantry cranes, classified as large-scale infrastructure lifting equipment, are shipped in a fully assembled and tested condition, ready for immediate use upon arrival. This approach significantly reduces the construction period of port projects.
