Pingtan, the closest place on the mainland to the island of Taiwan, hosted a vibrant Pingtan-Taiwan cultural exchange event that brought together people from both sides of the Taiwan Straits to celebrate the region's rich cultural heritage on Dec. 30, 2024. The event, held in Kan'ao Village of Pingtan, featured a wide array of traditional arts, cultural displays, and lively performances, aimed at promoting cultural understanding and strengthening ties between compatriots.
