The very first solar-powered, energy storage, rapid charging, and battery inspection integrated smart EV charging station was officially launched in Pingtan on January 22, marking a significant milestone for green transportation and renewable energy development in the region.
"I used to worry about slow charging speeds or potential battery damage, but here, it's fast, and the vehicle battery check gives me a sense of security," said Mr. Li, a local resident, after charging his car at the newly inaugurated Qilin Zhicheng Smart EV Charging Station located in Pingtan's Taiwan Entrepreneurial Park.
This innovative facility combines photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, fast charging, and battery diagnostics into a single service hub. Utilizing advanced technology and equipment, the station can harness sunlight to charge its energy storage devices, providing green, clean energy to electric vehicles. It also boasts two sets of 600kW/720kW full-liquid-cooled superchargers, equipped with high-voltage charging platforms and advanced charging guns, enabling vehicles to be fully charged within just minutes.
Moreover, the charging station isn't just about fast charging; it also offers a "health check" for the batteries of compatible electric vehicles. Simply by parking at the designated charging spot and plugging in, users can receive a comprehensive battery assessment, promptly identifying and alerting potential issues, thereby ensuring the safety of both charging and travel.
"The completion of this supercharging station is a major breakthrough in Pingtan's new energy infrastructure development," said Wang Zhipeng, business operations manager of Pingtan Qilin Zhicheng New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. "We plan to further intensify our investment in new energy infrastructure, aiming to build and launch nine additional supercharging stations by July, contributing to the growth of Pingtan's new energy sector."
