en.ptnet.cn | Updated:2025-02-18 | Lin Kongbo, StephanieA cargo ship recently docked at Pingtan's Jinjing Port, unloading 78 containers of liquid crystal displays (LCDs). Since the beginning of the year, Pingtan Customs has recorded a cumulative import value of 1.21 billion yuan in LCD panels. Following expedited customs clearance, these panels are now en route to production facilities in Suzhou and Xiamen.
Lu Fuchuan, an official from Pingtan Customs' Jinjing office, explained that a newly implemented smart electronic quarantine system has significantly streamlined customs inspections. Ships no longer need to wait for officials to board for health checks, accelerating the process by over 50%. This increased efficiency reduces costs and enhances productivity for foreign trade enterprises.
Looking ahead, Pingtan Customs is committed to innovating customs procedures, optimizing the port environment, and supporting high-tech and specialized enterprises to further drive Pingtan's economic development.
