Pingtan has launched the "Smart City Cycling" platform, a two-wheeled electric vehicle rental service designed to enhance urban mobility. This platform marks Pingtan's first government-backed electric bike rental service, promising travel convenience for residents and tourists alike.

At a "Smart City Cycling" rental station on Xihang Road, neatly arranged orange e-bikes await riders, who can easily rent them by scanning a QR code. Meanwhile, at one of the 86 battery swap stations on Jinjiang Avenue, modern swap cabinets featuring user-friendly digital displays guide riders through a seamless battery exchange process.

"I love how convenient the battery swap service is—it's a game-changer for daily commutes," said resident Mr. Lin.

"Our battery swap cabinets use cutting-edge shared energy technology. A full battery swap takes just 10 seconds," explained Wang Zhipeng, deputy general manager of Pingtan Qilin Smart City New Energy Technology Co., Ltd, the project developer. He also emphasized that all rental e-bikes comply with the latest national standards and are equipped with high-performance lithium batteries from CATL, ensuring reliable range and safety.

Leveraging IoT technology and big data analytics, the platform enables precise vehicle tracking and intelligent fleet management. Users can locate, unlock, pay for, and return bikes via the "Smart City Cycling" WeChat applet.
