On March 26, the Panamanian bulk carrier Shunqiang 7 completed a bonded fuel oil bunkering operation in Pingtan under the supervision of Pingtan Customs. The operation, carried out by Sinopec Zhoushan Petroleum Co. Ltd.'s CNOOC 668 supply vessel, delivered 20 tons of fuel.
With urgent fuel needs for its voyage to Panama, the vessel's agent, Pingtan Waidai Shipping Agency, swiftly coordinated with customs for a streamlined approval process. "Thanks to the strong support from customs, we saved significant operational costs," said Lin Chao, a company representative.
Bonded fuel oil, exempt from duties and taxes, offers a cost-effective fueling solution for international shipping. To enhance efficiency, Pingtan Customs has simplified procedures, introduced tallying services, and leveraged digital logistics systems to ensure swift supply operations.
By optimizing services and boosting Pingtan's maritime supply capacity, these initiatives support global trade and reinforce the region's role as a key maritime hub.
