2025 AVC Beach Tour Pingtan Open kicks off

The tournament kicked off on May 8, with China's women's team winning their opening match against Kazakhstan. China's strong showing continued as they defeated Malaysia in the next round.
"We're happy with the win but see areas for improvement," said Yu Tong from China's team. "We'll focus on the details and seize opportunities in future matches."
Despite the loss, Malaysian player Wu Yujie remained determined. "The opponents' blocking was impressive, and their height was an advantage. We'll refine our tactics and move faster in the next match."
The event also drew numerous tourists, including Li Hua from Gansu: "I love beach volleyball, and when I saw the event promotion, I came early to watch." Zhu Guohua, visiting from Henan, added, "Pingtan is perfect for beach volleyball. The first day was exciting!"
