Pingtan, China's second international tourism island after Hainan and a key hub for cross-Straits exchanges, has unveiled its newest attraction—the Hongwei Qishan Sports Park. The amusement park, which opened on June 1, has quickly become a hotspot for families, offering a mix of adrenaline-pumping rides and picturesque countryside scenery.

Screams of delight ripped the air as queues snaked towards attractions like pirate ships and spinning towers. Special performances, including clown shows and mech parades, added to the festive atmosphere, with kids eagerly posing alongside cartoon characters.

"We're impressed by how modern the facilities are, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. It's rare to see an amusement park surrounded by so many beautiful flowers," said local visitor Mr. Dong.

Located in Hongwei Village, a provincial-level model for rural revitalization, the park is part of a broader effort to boost tourism and local employment. "We plan to introduce more activities this summer, like jungle adventures and water parks, to enhance the experience," shared Lin Xiteng, head of the village.

On its opening day, the park welcomed around 2,500 visitors, signaling a promising start for Pingtan's burgeoning leisure economy.
