Ocean-going fishing vessels dock in Pingtan with zero-wait clearance
en.ptnet.cn | Updated:2025-06-11 | Lin Kongbo, StephaniePingtan, off the coast of Fujian and the mainland's closest point to the island of Taiwan, welcomed its first batch of distant-water fish catches this year as four vessels docked at Jinjiang Wharf on June 9. Customs officers boarded immediately, allowing for rapid inspections and unloading—no waiting required.
"Customs opened a green channel, saving time and boosting efficiency," said Lin Cheng, manager of Zhongmingzhou (Fujian) Fisheries.
The vessels had returned from a months-long Indian Ocean voyage. With expired certificates, urgent clearance was needed. Pingtan Customs coordinated fast-track inspections, while border authorities provided 24/7 services and tailored entry plans.
"Thorough, proactive service made everything easier," said Nian Kai of Fujian Sinotrans Shipping Agency Co., Ltd.
