Pingtan, China's second international tourism island after Hainan, is known for its stunning coastal scenery and vibrant cultural atmosphere. Located off the coast of Fujian province and the closest place on the mainland to the island of Taiwan, Pingtan is fast becoming a destination for immersive artistic experiences and international exchange. On the evening of June 29, its picturesque Longwangtou Beach will be transformed into a seaside music theater, where waves, wind, and melody come together in a unique celebration of summer.

The event will featurea romantic performance titled Encounter Sicilian Guitar Duet, delivered by renowned Italian musicians Carmelo Imbesi and Carmen Zangarà, an acclaimed guitar duo from Sicily. With the passion and poetry of the Mediterranean, the pair will present an immersive musical journey at sunset.

As dusk brings a hush to Longwangtou Beach. Sink into a beach chair and feel the cool sand beneath your feet– and let the music wash over you. Golden light spills across the beach, waves whisper a rhythmic counterpoint, and the soulful strains of Sicilian guitar drift through the warm coastal night.

From expressive Italian folk tunes to dramatic film scores, the duo will perform a diverse repertoire that channels the sunshine and stories of the Mediterranean into every note.

This is more than a concert—it is a poetic encounter between music and nature. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the experience freely, whether seated, lying on the beach, or gently swaying to the rhythm. The performance is set during the "golden hour," when the sky glows and every frame becomes cinematic. After the concert, attendees will also have a chance to meet the artists and explore Italian musical culture up close.

On June 29, let music echo the sunset at Longwangtou Beach, where the soul of Sicily meets the summer charm of Pingtan.
