Pingtan's cross-border e-commerce park hits record sales during mid-year shopping festival

Pingtan, an emerging trade hub off Fujian's coast and the closest mainland point to the island of Taiwan, saw record activity during China's annual "6.18" shopping festival. From May 13 to June 20, the Pingtan Cross-Border E-commerce Logistics Park became a hive of activity as trucks carrying parcels headed nationwide.
Fujian Lanhe Supply Chain Management Co. reported shipping over 1.28 million packages and achieving 554 million yuan in sales—its best performance to date.
Outbound cross-border orders also rose by around 15%, with bedding, kitchenware, and appliances among top sellers. Pingtan Customs processed 3.91 million import-export orders totaling 1.249 billion yuan.
