The 2025 Pingtan International Racing Carnival is set to ignite the track from June 27 to 29 at the picturesque Ruyi Lake International Circuit, bringing high-octane competition and top-tier motorsport to China's second international tourism island.
As a highlight of the ongoing "Pingtan-Macao Sports Month," the event will feature two major races: the Macau Touring Car Championship (Pingtan Round) and the SRO GT CUP-Greater Bay Area GT Cup. Racing teams and elite drivers from across China and beyond will gather for three days of fierce action.
The Macau Touring Car Championship will showcase 2.0-liter Toyota and Subaru models in a tightly contested format known for its intensity and technical skill. Meanwhile, the SRO GT CUP—developed by global motorsports leader SRO Motorsports Group—is a new GT4 series tailored for China. Following its debut as a support race at the F1 Chinese Grand Prix, the Pingtan stop marks the second leg of the season and will contribute points to the global GT4 manufacturer rankings.
In addition to the main events, the Pingtan-Macao Basketball Exchange Match will also be held, adding to the celebration of sport and cultural exchange.
Organized jointly by the Pingtan Sports Federation and the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macao, "Pingtan-Macao Sports Month" has already featured U15 baseball, U23 football, and tennis matches between Macao and Pingtan teams. The upcoming racing carnival will further deepen cross-regional sports ties and bring the excitement of motorsport to a wider audience.
Get ready for a weekend of speed, adrenaline, and unity at the 2025 Pingtan International Racing Carnival.
