Nestled off the coast of Fujian province and boasting the distinction of being the mainland's closest point tothe island ofTaiwan, Pingtan, China's second international tourism island after Hainan, once again became the epicenter of speed and excitement. On June 29, the second day of the 2025 Pingtan International Racing Carnival unfolded, with the second-round final of the Pingtan-Macao Challenge and the two-round finals of the SRO GT CUP—Greater Bay Area GT Cup roaring into action at the Pingtan Ruyi Lake International Urban Circuit.

In the second-round final of the Pingtan-Macao Challenge, Lo Pak Yu of 778 AUTO SPORT maintained an outstanding form. Right from the start, he firmly held the leading position and steadily extended his advantage, clinching the victory without a shadow of a doubt. 

In the afternoon's second-round final of the SRO GT Cup Pingtan leg, Han Lichao, a driver for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing China, emerged victorious from the intense competition, securing the championship in both rounds of the SRO GT Cup Pingtan leg. In the preceding qualifying session, Han Lichao set the pace of the day, snatching the pole position with an advantage of over 0.6 seconds. "Despite a stable performance in the first round, I made a mistake at the start of the second round, plummeting to the back of the pack. Fortunately, I fought tooth and nail and managed to regain the lead,"Han Lichao shared. 

As the roars of the engines gradually faded, the multi-day 2025 Pingtan International Racing Carnival came to a temporary halt, leaving spectators with unforgettable memories of high-speed thrills and remarkable driving skills.

Huang Wei, general manager of Pingtan Automobile Culture Development Co., Ltd., stated that the Pingtan Racing Carnival has been successfully held for years. This year, it continued the previous model by hosting diverse events, including drifting and karting competitions, in different months. Notably, this year's carnival introduced cooperation with Macao for the first time, which is of great significance for promoting exchanges between the two regions.
