Pingtan, designated as China's second international tourism island in Fujian Province known for its scenic beaches and coastal charm, hosted the "Blue Tears Music Carnival" on October 5, coinciding with China's National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. The event drew crowds eager to combine live music with the area's coastal ambiance.

The carnival featured a diverse lineup of artists, headlined by popular singer Jimmy Lin from Taiwan, alongside performers Zuo Qibo and Lu Yi. The music spanned genres from pop and rap to electronic, catering to a wide range of audience tastes. Jimmy Lin's appearance became the highlight of the night, as he kicked off his set with high-energy interactions. "It's such a joy to spend the Mid-Autumn Festival with everyone here by the sea, watching the moon together," he told the crowd, sparking cheers before launching into beloved hits including Happy Supreme, Wild Chrysanthemum, and Rainy Season at Seventeen. The crowd sang along in unison, creating a lively, communal atmosphere.

What set the event apart from traditional music festivals was its beachfront setting. Attendees stood on warm sand, with sea breezes blowing as they listened to performances—an experience that blended music with nature. A special market area also offered local Pingtan snacks and souvenirs, allowing festivalgoers to sample Pingtan between sets.

Zheng Huimin, one of the attendees , shared her excitement after the show: "This is my first time at a music carnival on the beach. Listening to music with the sea wind on my face feels so healing."
