Pingtan, China's second international tourism island after Hainan, is gearing up to host a spectacular New Year's Eve celebration from December 31, 2025, to January 1, 2026. The event aims to deliver an unforgettable "Love You Forever" themed island carnival for couples, families, and young travelers seeking an extraordinary year-end experience.

The celebration features four headline attractions. A custom fireworks show will unfold in four thematic chapters—"Spring Tide Over the Island," "Summer Shade Around the Island," "Autumn Glow Reflecting Fishing Boats," and "Winter Warmth Returning to the Harbor"—blending dreamy visuals with romantic symbolism. Attendees can also release safe versions of Kongming lanterns under the starry sky to make wishes for the new year.

Strike a pose on the "Love Highway" (1,314 meters of forever), whisper secrets on the "Confession Highway" (520 meters of 'I love you'), and get lost in a forest of giant, illuminated roses. Feel the beat as dancers in fiery, fluorescent masks perform electrifying rituals, fusing ancient Austronesian roots with modern energy.

Complementing the main attractions are a New Year's concert by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, DJ sets, live bands, dance performances, IP character interactions, and a New Year's market. "The most romantic thing I can think of is going to Pingtan with you to watch the fire roses bloom," reads a promotional tagline for the event.
