Pingtan, the closest point on the Chinese mainland to Taiwan Island and a key cross-Straits logistics hub in Fujian Province, saw five heavy-duty truck cabs (valued at 1.51 million yuan) depart for Taiwan on January 6. The cargo left from Pingtan's Jinjing Port aboard the "Taipei Express" after completing customs clearance, destined for Taiwan-based logistics firms to strengthen their long-haul freight capacity.

This marks the first time Pingtan has shipped this model of truck cab to Taiwan. Ruan Bangchuan, general manager assistant of Pingtan Ocean Shipping Agency Co., Ltd., emphasized the role of local advantages: "The direct shipping and smooth customs clearance at Jinjing Port of Pingtan made this business possible. It enriches cross-Straits trade categories, strengthens industrial and supply chain links between the two sides, and opens up more space for our industry to expand Taiwan-focused services."

Known for its "air-freight speed at sea-freight prices," Pingtan Port has established itself as a leading cross-Strait logistics hub, serving as a vital two-way maritime link connecting the mainland and Taiwan.
