Pingtan Island, a well-known tourist destination located along the Taiwan Straits and a key hub for cross-Straits exchanges, welcomed agroup of Harley-Davidson riders on April 10, 2026. Fifteen Harley-Davidson motorcycles set off from Fuzhou and traveled to Pingtan for a road trip around the island. 

Riders from both sides of the Straits, wearing matching outfits, passed by iconic scenic spots including Beigang Cultural and Creative Village, the picturesque coastal drive, Changjiang'ao Beach and the Northern Ecological Corridor. The event showcased Harley-Davidson motorcycle culture, gave riders a chance to connect and laid a solid foundation for future large-scale cultural and tourism events in Pingtan, boosting the local tourism economy.

Some riders shared that the riding experience in Pingtan was unforgettable. They believed Pingtan has great potential to become a destination for cross-Straits motorcycle tourism. They also expressed hope that more riders from across the Straits would visit Pingtan, further promoting cultural and tourism integration and deepening friendship between compatriots on both sides.
