The Cross-Straits Remote Control Sailing Competition is a flagship sports exchange event developed in Pingtan. Guided by the philosophy of "tech-sports, cross-Straits unity, and sailing with the wind," it is held at the professional waters of Ruyi Lake. The event attracts model sailing enthusiasts and professional athletes from both sides of the Taiwan Straits, Hong Kong and Macao, with various competitive categories that combine professionalism and attractiveness. Taking  remote control sailing as a bond, the event fosters youth sports and cultural exchanges across the Straits, showcases Pingtan's exceptional water sports resources and its charm as a "Island of Brand Eventsand Energy," and supports the construction of Pingtan as an international tourism island.
