On June 10, Pingtan hosted the 15th Common Homeland Forum, welcoming over 360 participants from across the Taiwan Straits to share experiences, strengthen bonds, and explore new paths for integration and collaboration. Zou Zhenqiu, vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots (ACFTC); Lai Jun, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone; Lin Yi-sheng, vice chairman and secretary-general of the New Party; and Jiang Peiqi, vice chairman of the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland(ATIEM), attended and delivered remarks.

Zou emphasized that the two sides of the Straits share the same roots and heritage, and building a common homeland is the shared aspiration of all Chinese. "The ACFTC will continue to serve as a 'heart-to-heart bridge' connecting compatriots on both sides," he said. He encouraged active participation in joint development, welcoming more Taiwan compatriots to Pingtan to safeguard peace and stability in the Taiwan Straits, deepen integration, and contribute to national reunification and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Lai Jun welcomed the guests on behalf of the Pingtan Party Working Committee and Administrative Committee. He highlighted Pingtan's role as a window for cross-Straits cooperation, noting that the zone has been pioneering policies and innovative approaches to accelerate deep, multi-dimensional integration with the Straits. Looking ahead, Pingtan aims to lead by example in building a cross-Straits common market, promoting shared culture, and fostering coordinated development.

Lin Yi-sheng described Pingtan as a "warm home where the two sides of the Straits live, work, and thrive together," emphasizing the forum as a bridge for continued exchanges and collaboration. "We hope compatriots will deepen cooperation, safeguard peace, and create a brighter shared future," he said.

Jiang Peiqi added that Pingtan has become a preferred landing spot for Taiwan businesses and residents through its development of a common homeland and pilot cross-Straits market. She encouraged entrepreneurs to seize opportunities in Pingtan and participate in local development, while the ATIEM platform will support integration through shared policies, cultural initiatives, and practical services, fostering closer bonds between communities.

The forum continued under the theme "Good Life, Good Future." In the "United in Purpose, Embarking on a New Journey" keynote session, cross-Straits experts discussed Pingtan's path in building a common market. The "Building Dreams on Pingtan, Sharing a Common Homeland" segment combined live storytelling and interviews to highlight entrepreneur Yang Zongxian's experiences. The "Sharing Insights, Discussing Integration" dialogue featured five Taiwan representatives reflecting on life, work, and entrepreneurship in Pingtan. Supplementary events included the Cross-Straits (Pingtan) Antrodia cinnamomea Industry Development Seminar and the Second Cross-Straits Meteorological Standards Exchange, further promoting industrial collaboration and standardization.
