Over 20 teachers and students from the Faculty of Archaeology of Xiamen University took the initiative to settle in the International Austronesian Archaeological Research Base, part of the Keqiutou Archaeological Park on September 26 in Pingtan.

More, another park, an undersea museum for exhibiting antiques under the Haitan Straits will be built as well.
